Trains, Boats, planes, tuk tuks, elephants…..

It is hard to believe that our Indian adventure is finishing – but what a relaxing beautiful, place to complete our journey – Marari Beach. Our days are spent reading, swimming, being massaged in the Ayurvedic Centre and completing the day by watching a beautiful sunset.

We are invigorated, inspired and rejuvenated. Our capacity to see, feel and enjoy the beauty of both the natural and created environment has been immeasurably enhanced by our Indian experiences.

We have had some magic/ interesting moments!

Being so close to a tiger that we saw his chest rise and fall

Whizzing around cities in tuk tuks

Seeing Goats on motorbikes, whole families on motorbikes

Elephants being transported on the back of a truck!

Experiencing an Indian massage where you leave your modesty at the door – we’ll leave the rest to your imagination!

Experiencing the sense of community within Indian society

Gaining a greater understanding of the respect and reverence given to deep rooted beliefs

Contrasting the serenity of rural India with the chaotic traffic and noise of cities

Seeing extreme poverty and extreme wealth

Discussing politics and the forthcoming election with a range of local people who almost universally think Modi is the best prime minister they’ve ever had

India has gained a special place in our hearts but we’re homeward bound now, so it’s our last blog. We’ll finish with a few more images of our time here.
